Shiroyama Nights

A sky full of stars and a couple of oil lanterns for company
While Takahama's daytime is filled with the buzz of beach-goers and surfers, the evenings bring the calming sound of breaking ocean waves, the scuttle of beach crabs, and a dark canvas pin pricked with the light of stars a mere trillion or so miles away. With a few oil lanterns and a bottle of wine, there’s no better way to spend a relaxing, contemplative evening with a good friend in Takahama. On the horizon, the glowing lights of squid fishing boats evoke images of people hard at work while the rest of the town prepares for bed.
